Our client, a highly successful and growing Residential Property Management company is seeking a Property Manager for their 224 unit residential property in Thousand Oaks.

 

The Property Manager will manage and oversee the apartment community including operations, resident relations, and marketing as well as the overall success of the property. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee apartment community while striving for maximum occupancy
  • Provides leadership and training to all onsite staff assigned to the property
  • Bids work for property/resident improvement and communicates information to Company management for decision
  • Maintains accurate records of property conditions including roof, HVAC, utilities, and special circumstances
  • Inspect all apartments for market-ready condition and supervise maintenance, preventative maintenance, and apartment turnover for timely and effective results
  • Administers budgets, conducts operational review of the property, and analyzes corrective action needed
  • Maintains complete and accurate property files and records in accordance with company systems, with an emphasis on documentation for further reference
  • Timely enforcement of late fees and/or evictions for non-payment of rents or violation of community rules
  • Develops a network of emergency services and may be required to provide weekend coverage on an as-needed basis
  • Is available to be on-call from time-to-time, which may require this position to receive and respond to phone calls and/or on-site visits after-hours
  • Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager
  • Associates Degree or educational/experience equivalent
  • Valid CA Driver’s License
  • Strong knowledge of Eviction & Fair Housing laws
  • Advanced computer skills & working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Yardi, Rent Café, and CRM experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Strong decision-making skills & results-driven
  • Financial and budget-management abilities
  • ARM or CPM highly preferred
  • Real Estate License a plus
