Construction Project Coordinator

Our client, a well-established Real Estate Management firm, is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to join their team! With offices in Los Angeles and New York, this company specializes in the management of apartment buildings and shopping centers. They are expanding our operations, and are seeking qualified candidates to join their team!

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Secure and manage business relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Prepare scopes of work for proposals;
  • Request proposals for Work Orders;
  • Contract negotiation;
  • Assign work to vendors;
  • Follow-up regarding the status of work assigned to vendors, until completion; and
  • Inspect work completed by vendors for quality workmanship, compliance, and safety, among other things.
  • Secure and manage business relationships with suppliers;
  • Prepare materials lists for Purchase Orders;
  • Request proposals for Purchase Orders;
  • Proposal negotiation;
  • Purchasing and distribution of materials and equipment; and
  • Follow-up regarding the status of materials purchases, until installation.
  • Inventory control of Company-owned materials and equipment.
  • Retrieve records from government agencies and other entities.
  • Cross-trained as a backup to the Maintenance Department Manager
  • Inspections of Property, including unit interiors and common areas.
  • Inspections of Property, including unit interiors and common areas.
  • Special Projects as Assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: High School diploma (or higher)
  • 5+ years’ experience in the Real Estate or related industry
  • 2+ years’ Supervisory Experience
  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook
  • Yardi Property Management software – Highly preferred
  • Detail-oriented
  • Good time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Enjoy working in fast-paced environment
  • Not flustered by urgent requests
  • Tech savvy
