Interview 101: Following Up After Your Interview

Always Thank your Interviewer

by email within 24 hours of your interview. Then, follow the next steps for the perfect follow up.

 

1. Wait ONE Week

before following up if you have not been contacted by the interviewer or hiring manager regarding the position.

 

2. Send an Email

addressing the person you interviewed with by their first name. This will make the email more sincere.

 

3. Mention the Job Title

or the role you're following up about and the date you interviewed.

 

4. Confirm Your Interest

in the position and that you are eager to hear about the next steps. 

 

5. End With a CTA

asking for an update on the current status of the position.
