JWilliams Staffing has helped over 22,000 outstanding individuals launch a career in the Real Estate Industry. From new home sales to property management and residential maintenance, these individuals have put in the work to launch their dream career! This JWS Alumni article series will tell the unique stories of some of these successful individuals.

Zoee joined JWilliams Staffing with the goal of getting her real estate license and gaining valuable experience in the Homebuilding Industry. Within five months of joining the team, her dream of working with a custom home builder helping clients design their forever homes came true!

“After working in model homes, I decided I really wanted to work with a custom home builder, selling and helping design families’ forever homes.” – Zoee Cartright

Zoee’s determination, strong communication skills, and passion for her job led her to immediate career success. Within just 5 months of joining the JWilliams Staffing team, she was hired on with her choice custom home builder, Weston Dean Custom Homes. Starting off as a Service Specialist, caring for model homes and supporting sales counselors, Zoee’s passion for helping clients build their dream homes accelerated her growth into a Client Service Support Coordinator.

While supporting home builder offices, Zoee learned just how much goes into the process of building a new home. From plans and permitting to flooring, landscaping, and all of the steps in between, the process from start to finish of building a custom home is an adventure for everyone involved.

“I learned how to communicate with clients, builders, and sales associates and how much really goes into building a new home. I learned how to spot quality craftsmanship and find areas that need improvement.” – Zoee Cartright

Working on-site with builders gave Zoee the expertise to help clients customize their homes to their tastes and functional needs. During this time, she found joy in the design process and working with clients to choose the model and floors that were just right.

One of Zoee’s favorite memories while with JWS was a moment when she was able to connect with a prospect, listen to her interests, and see her excitement grow as she talked about her future home:

I was filling in at a custom home model and two clients came in who were trying to decide between a few different floor plans from different builders. She showed me what she liked from the other builders’ floor plans but loved the one I was representing overall. I sat with her for a while suggesting different ideas of how to incorporate the things she liked from the other floor plans. She loved my ideas and was writing everything down. It started pouring down rain during our conversation so the couple and I sat in the living room of the model for maybe 30 minutes, if not longer, just talking about their life and family and why this house was so important to them. It was an exciting experience and I think that really solidified my desire to work with a custom home builder!

After seeing the client light up, Zoee knew even more why she chose this career path and was motivated and determined to succeed. Using her creativity and helping solve problems is exactly what Zoee loved most about new home sales, “I’m kind of a problem solver now, helping clients and our different teams overcome issues.”

Zoee also became an expert on success in the new home sales office while supporting builders with JWS.

“…clients are more likely to come back to speak with the sales associate if most of their questions are answered the first visit.” – Zoee Cartright

Zoee very quickly learned that taking notes was one of the key factors to success in the sales office. Taking notes about the different builders she supported helped her answer any questions prospects might ask. “I didn’t like not being able to answer questions for clients,” said Zoee.  Being prepared with notes on each builder allowed Zoee the ability to confidently answer any questions prospects might have asked. This also lead to a higher rate of success as she said that clients are more likely to come back if most of their questions are answered. Zoee also said to take notes for the sales associates. Provide as much information as possible so the sales associate can identify the client’s interests and needs. “What do they like about the model? What are some must-haves? What didn’t they like? Which floor plans are they interested in,” said Zoee.

“I like reading, and sewing, and doing crafty things.” – Zoee Cartright

Beyond the workplace Zoee is just as creative and passionate! From a love for reading to working on sewing projects and trying different crafts and DIY’s, Zoee is always thinking and creating. One thing many people may not know about her is that she also loves the art of tattoos! “I have five tattoos and want more!” Zoee said. Her love of all things artistic can be seen in her excitement for helping others create their perfect homes.

Zoee also LOVES cuddling with her dogs, Moose and Torie. Much like many other dog owners, her pups are valued members of her family. Zoee was also once an emergency veterinary technician during her time with JWilliams Staffing. And she said, “JWilliams helped me transition into a new field and helped me see my potential I have using my skills from being a vet tech.” From the art of patience to identifying your client’s needs (even if they’re a fluffy pup!), there are many cross-over skills that Zoee had gained during her time as a vet tech that helped her succeed in her new career.

We could not be more grateful to have worked with such an inspiring individual such as Zoee!
