Richard Thayer began his career journey with JWilliams Staffing in January 2022, with the initial goal to secure a full-time position in property management. Armed with an appetite for knowledge and professional growth, Richard quickly made strides in his journey. Within 8 months of joining the team, he was offered a permanent position as an Assistant Business Manager with Legacy Partners. Today, Richard is looking forward to embarking on his next adventure as a Property Manager with Cushman and Wakefield.
Richard’s exposure to various teams and property management companies through JWilliams Staffing, allowed him to observe and learn from a diverse group of mentoring professionals.
His experience while working onsite broadened his understanding of effective leadership and best leasing and property management practices. With guidance from experienced professionals, he became proficient in utilizing software and digital tools specific to the field.
Richard’s eagerness and curiosity to embrace new opportunities helped him develop into a well-rounded professional, ready to tackle new challenges that lie ahead. The direction he received while with JWilliams Staffing helped him gain a deeper understanding of property management and the broader aspects of life ultimately contributing to his success both personally and professionally.
Connecting with residents and providing them with the utmost hospitality was really a satisfying new element to this career choice and convinced Richard that he was in a position where he would thrive.
He thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to interact with and build relationships with every resident, Richard's dedication and exceptional performance did not go unnoticed. He was officially recognized as the “Youngest Business Manager” in Legacy Partners recent history. Richard also successfully steered a struggling community towards resounding success, earning the coveted title of "Most Improved Community of the Year" in 2022. These achievements serve as validation of Richard's unwavering commitment and inspire him to continue growing within his career and in the property management industry.
Now, as a seasoned professional, Richard is able to offer his own wisdom to those looking to advance their career.

Outside of Richard’s professional career, he continuously expands his horizons by pursuing knowledge in areas of personal interest.
Alongside reading, Richard has a deep passion for exploring different cultures and language learning, currently focusing on mastering Japanese and Spanish. We asked Richard about hobbies and he shared his passion for car detailing. What started as a hobby for him has now transformed into a thriving side business that Richard manages during his weekends. Richard's activities outside of work offer him a well-rounded and fulfilling life, allowing him to unwind, expand his intelligence, and explore his creative interests.
