The Real Estate and Financial Analyst is charged with driving business performance through analysis. The position will help define forecasts, business processes, facilitate deployment of key internal solutions, and assist internal operations with training, reporting, analytics, and ongoing enhancement of applications. Primary Responsibilities/Duties
  • Lead design and development of focused data models
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Prepare budgets for current and future years and analyze budget to actual
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
  • Prepare, design and analyze management reports and financial models to enhance strategic decision making and conduct benchmarking
  • Build easy to understand KPI/Reporting routines specific to Company & process requirements
  • Create and review weekly and monthly reporting packages and evaluate variances and trends in operating income and expenses
  • Provide analytical and asset management support on a diverse portfolio of investments and
  • Manipulate large quantities of property level data received from third parties

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably with a concentration in Accounting, Finance or Real Estate
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Real Estate or Finance a plus
  • 2+ years’ experience in data modeling and financial analysis/reporting
  • 2+ years’ experience in real estate.
  • Experience and expertise in reviewing loan documents, analyzing rent rolls, leases, operating statements, budgets, appraisals, environmental and engineering reports, etc. a plus
  • Proven experience with financial management and reporting; proven experience with real estate portfolio reporting.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Visio).
  • Advanced level Excel (VBA, Macro and Form development).
  • QuickBooks
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
  • Ability to think/conceptualize independently and creatively.
  • Business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze and mine implications.
  • Ability to boil down complex concepts into easily digestible ideas / packets of information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including experience in consensus building and creating highly effective presentations for senior management.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions while maintaining professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment; ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Comfortable working with and protecting highly confidential information
