General Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the waitlist process, admission and orientation of new residents
  • Market the property in accordance with Fair Housing Regulations and Management Agreement.
  • Navigate, post, and manage social media account.
  • Recruit, lead, manage, train, supervise, recognize, and develop staff to achieve established objectives; provide quality services in a work environment reflecting teamwork
  • Provide tours to interested parties and maintain waiting list according to tenant selection.
  • Supervise the property office ensuring that all bookkeeping, marketing, inspections, and lease preparations are performed as.
  • Ensure proper resident certification, re-certification and compliance with all HUD or appropriate regulatory agency requirements.
  • Inspect property to ensure building and grounds are properly maintained and take or suggest any actions needed for repair.
  • Respond to all resident requests and complaints and seek appropriate resolution.
  • Conduct or supervise annual performance reviews of all staff

 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-4 years of affordable housing property management required
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of individuals by using tact, diplomacy, and flexibility.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to effectively calm upset customers and provide direction for dispute resolution.
  • Knowledge of computer operations, to include basic data entry, subsidy software, etc.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) Accredited Residential Manager (ARM), Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), or Registered Apartment Manager (RPM) preferred
  • 1-2 years of Business experience preferred
  • Active Real Estate License (1 year) preferred
