Salary:
Essential Functions
- Responsible for full-cycle accounting for commercial property portfolio
- Review general ledgers and prepare monthly financial statements
- Analyze income and expenses, including comparisons to prior period, forecast, budget, & variance explanations
- Month-end close process for intercompany transactions and reimbursements
- Reconcile bank accounts and lender statements and prepare mortgage payment entries monthly
- Read, abstract, set up, and maintain leases in Yardi
- Calculate and prepare CAM reconciliations and CAM estimates
- Review accounts receivable and ensure accuracy
- Process and code invoices and/or review invoices for accuracy
- Regularly review job costs to ensure costs are within the approved budgets and properly close jobs when they are complete
- Prepare and reconcile monthly balance sheet account schedules & annual property budgets
- Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies and procedures
- Assist team with the tenant receipt posting, weekly check run process, year-end close, and documenting policies and procedures
- Special projects, duties, and ad hoc analyses as assigned by the assistant controller and the controller
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience or related field is required. Commercial property accounting experience is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP
- Intermediate or advanced level of experience in Excel
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Results-oriented and success motivated self-starter
- Strong multitasking skills, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to quickly learn new software/technology, concepts, and processes & procedures
- Ability to identify and solve problems with limited information
- Yardi experience preferred but not required
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
