Pay Rate: $18-20/hr
General Job Responsibilities:
- Make basic repairs to appliances (garbage disposal, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, icemakers, laundry equipment, ovens, stoves)
- Identify and correct hazardous property conditions, look for needed maintenance and liability hazards and repair/report to Maintenance Supervisor
- Perform turn-key work as required to ensure vacancies are rent-ready in a timely manner for new residents
- Operate washer and dryer and cleaning equipment normally associated with position
- Communications and Entertainment Systems (telephone, television, cable, internet, call button and alarm systems)
- Repair plumbing fixtures (leaky faucets, toilets, sinks, drain, valves, water lines)
- Perform wall texturing, painting, wall repairs, and wallpapering as needed
- Perform rough and finish carpentry as well as door removal and installation
- Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment (HVAC)
- Smoke Detectors & Carbon Monoxide Alarms
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ of Residential Maintenance experience
- HVAC certifications highly preferred
- EPA required
- CPO highly preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience with residential plumbing, painting, hardware installation, trouble shooting & repairs, electric, and other general maintenance.
- Basic tools required. Advanced or specialized equipment provided.
- Customer service orientated with the ability to work well with residents, vendors, management, and co-workers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA
