The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of the multi-family residential property.
Pay:
$20 - 24/hr
General Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure work orders addressed within 24 hours
- Respond to emergency situations and engage outside vendors to address issues as needed
- Perform preventive maintenance work such as service appliances or other routine maintenance activities as may be directed by supervisors
- Perform “make ready” projects for the preparation of vacant units available for prospective tenants
- Perform minor to moderate-level plumbing repairs, replacements, fixture installations, repairing leaks, removing clogs in drains and toilets, and similar items not requiring permits
- Perform minor electrical repairs and replacement of light fixtures and related items not requiring permits
- Be responsible for the inventory, ordering, and delivery of all necessary supplies and equipment for the service, custodial and grounds departments
- Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment (HVAC)
Minimum Qualifications:
- GED or Equivalent
- Residential Maintenance Experience: 2 years+
- Plumbing Experience, Electrical Experience
- Must possess valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Communicate effectively
- Practice team behavior & demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships
- Is organized and manages time effectively
- Ability to work irregular hours (evenings, weekends), including on-call and overtime hours, as required due to maintenance emergencies
