POSITION PURPOSE

Based in the West Coast Regional office located in the Bay Area, CA. The Acquisitions Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s west coast region purchasing activities. The Acquisitions Manager will report to the Regional (West Coast) President.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Actively sourcing and closing new acquisitions.
  • Expand network and build relationships with top commercial real estate brokerage firms as well as local brokers.
  • Identifying acquisitions (value adding opportunities in West Coast Region).
  • Identify acquisitions, value adding opportunities in West Coast region, and participate in due diligence process of acquisitions, financing, syndication, and dispositions.
  • Actively mentor analysts, and associates to enhance their skill set and support their career progression and paths.
  • Maintain and continuously enrich their own personal in-depth knowledge and awareness of both macro as well as micro regional and local market trends and influences, competitive space & services, consumer demographics, and demand drivers.
  • Assist in Ad-hoc projects assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors' degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, economics, statistics, real estate finance, or related discipline.
  • 5-7+ years of commercial real estate acquisitions experience with a sizable organization.
  • Proven track record of sourcing and closing acquisitions in office/R&D properties
  • Demonstrable track record to identify trends and give insights for actions of acquisition, value adding and disposing of assets with the objective to maximize investors’ return.
  • Detailed understanding of local real estate markets and investor appetite.
  • Experience in Yardi, VTS, Excel and Argus or other similar tools
  • Use of metrics and hard data from which to extrapolate and analyze effectively.
  • Experience in real estate office transactions as well as broker and other third-party agreements.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
